Construction has been an important part of the Borger family since 1919 when Borger Brothers Ltd. was founded in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The company entered the Calgary market in 1952 and for the past 55 years has established itself as a integral part of the Calgary community. In addition to annually installing more than 1/3rd of Calgary’s underground infrastructure, the company takes pride in being a “good corporate citizen”. Giving back to the community is a fundamental concept of the organization. Today, WRD Borger Construction Ltd. (Borger) is Alberta’s leading general contractor specializing in the water and sewer industry.
Borger credits much of its success to a dedicated and experienced team of personnel. The tenure of many key employees range from 25-50 years. The expertise of staff is not only apparent in production methods but also in the supply of creative solutions when the opportunities arise. We do not underestimate the dangers which are inherent in construction. Full time fully certified safety personnel ensure the consistent implementation of an extremely high safety standard.
